Our Roaring Twenties Affaire includes each of the four 3 hour long workshops below. Workshops are taught "Affaire" style to all the attendees at once as a group in our beautiful ballroom. You will be placed at a table with friends of your choosing (based on your preferences) or with a lovely new group of ladies if you are traveling on your own. Hope Wallace will also teach Lola's Dance Card Mini-Project during our Friday evening Creative Exchange Soiree.
Roaring Rosie is a lovely 8" porcelain half-doll pin cushion reproduced in a vintage 1920's style. From her golden armband to her darling flapper dress, you will be immediately smitten. Each Rosie has been hand painted for you and is ready to be dressed for a night on the town. Learn to create an authentic walnut shell filled pin cushion, VerDay painting techniques and fashion an outfit that her special suitor will be sure to admire. Your kit will include all the components to style her darling frock including french rayon ribbon, lace, tiny pearls, petite flowers and her exquisite porcelain legs!
Create your very own illustrated flapper girl portrait that is just the bee's knees and talk of the town. Bits and pieces of our girl will be created ~ her clothes, baubles, and hair which we will assemble with a splash of our imaginations. Learn painting techniques to fill her in with color using a yummy roaring twenties watercolor palette and then doll her up with patterned papers and lots of penciled in details. She'll be the cat's meow ~ ready to frame and tuck into your creative corner!
Velvets, rose monte crystals, flowers, silk ribbons and floral beading ~ Oh My! Whether you fashion this beautiful headpiece into a headband, choker or embellishment for your favorite dress form, it will be simply divine. Options are endless in this workshop, including a choice of neutral or pink velvet, beading or simply filling your creation with velvet pretties. Either way, you will be sure to leave with a show stopper!
